The Author

The author was born in Cengio (Savona) on August 14, 1943. Until August 2010 he worked at the Municipal Library of Cairo Montenotte after attaining a diploma as librarian at the Vatican Apostolic Library.
He spent his early years studying in Belgium and at the University of Lyon in France. He took courses in anthropology, ethnology and linguistics at the University of Abidjan (Ivory Coast). From August 1970 to 1985 he worked in West Africa, and later in Rome as General Councilor of an international company that has operations in five continents.
He is passionate about local history and in 2009 he published the second edition of the book  “Gli antichi Liguri e le Ligurie, la Val Bormida e Roccavignale. Alla ricerca delle radici comuni dall’età della pietra ad oggi”. Now he is presenting the result of three years of research in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian archives that have allowed him to discover the figure of Columbus in his historical context and in that of the great geographical explorations of his times.
